DIY: Feather Hair Clip

Here are three easy steps to make a cute, stylish feather hair clip. You can also follow the same directions to make a feather earring. Just substitute an earring hook for the clip.

The materials you will need are scissors, wire, small glass beads, a charm, two or more feathers, and a hair clip with three holes in the bottom (it comes with the holes).

Step 1: Cut a long strip of wire and fold it in half. Put one end of the wire through the bottom middle hole of the hair clip. Bring the clip all the way up to where it is folded. Twist the top part of the wire to secure it.

Step 2: Separate the two ends of the wire. On one of the ends place all the feathers with only their tips above the wire. Using only that one end, wrap the wire all the way around the tips of the feather.

Step 3: Cut the other end of the wire to the length of the longest feather. String the small glass beads on the wire and on the end and add a charm. Keep some wire left over and fold it backwards. Twist it to secure it.
